Electric Circuit Theory 2
(ECT-II)

Course Rationale and Goals. The course is planned as a second core electric circuits course for the Electrical Engineering students. Because the course builds up on the Electric Circuits I, many of the fundamental concepts are assumed to be known previously. The course mainly concentrates on the steady state AC analysis. Signal and Systems and transform techniques are gradually developed on the basis of frequency domain. Course Description. Sinusoidal Sources and Phasors. AC Steady-State Analysis. AC Steady-State Power. Three-Phase Circuits. The Laplace Transforms. Circuit Analysis in the s-domain. Frequency Response. Mutual Inductance and Transformers. Two-port Circuits. (Prerequisite: ECT1. Electric Circuit Theory I).
